I'm looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager who loves more than just keeping the wheels turning.

Someone who enjoys getting under the skin of a finance function, spotting what could work better and bringing people along on that journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, commercially minded leader to take ownership of an established Accounts Payable function, develop the team and drive meaningful improvements across systems, processes and controls.

The opportunity

You'll have the autonomy to really make a difference, with responsibility for:

• Leading, and developing an Accounts Payable team, including Team Leaders.
• Taking ownership of the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process.
• Reviewing existing processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
• Driving automation and smarter ways of working.
• Strengthening financial controls, reporting and supplier management.
• Working closely with Finance, Procurement and other stakeholders to resolve challenges and improve performance.
• Creating a positive, accountable and high-performing team environment.

What we're looking for

Ideally, you'll already have experience managing a busy, high-volume AP function and understand what great looks like.

But just as importantly, you'll be someone who:

• Enjoys leading people and developing talent.
• Isn't afraid to challenge existing ways of working.
• Has experience improving processes, systems or controls.
• Can balance the day-to-day demands with longer-term improvements.
• Is confident working with senior stakeholders.
• Brings energy, structure and a genuine desire to make things better.

Accounting qualifications are welcome, but strong practical experience and the right leadership approach are equally important .
