Accounts Payable Officer

Key responsibilities:

• Processing and verifying supplier invoices for accuracy, completeness and compliance with purchase orders and delivery receipts
• Recording accounts payable transactions in the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner
• Preparing and scheduling payments to suppliers whilst ensuring optimal cash flow management
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies or payment issues
• Maintaining vendor files and records, including contracts, agreements and payment history
• Communicating with suppliers regarding invoices, payment terms and resolving any billing concerns
• Assisting with month-end and year-end account reconciliations and closing procedures
• Supporting internal audit activities and providing documentation as required
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant accounting standards
• Assisting with the preparation of accounts payable reports and analysis for management review
