Accounts Payable Processor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Processor to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices, maintaining financial compliance, and supporting overall accounting operations. Duties

• Process and verify a high volume of vendor invoices using various financial software such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues related to payments, debits & credits, and invoice processing.
• Maintain meticulous records of all accounts payable transactions while ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Utilize Excel data analysis skills, including formulas and VLOOKUP functions, to support invoice audits and data entry tasks efficiently.
• Manage vendor relationships by responding promptly to inquiries regarding payments and account status while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Assist with accounts receivable management and support payroll processing activities using systems like ADP, Kronos, or UltiPro.
• Support month-end closing activities through journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and accurate documentation within accounting systems such as PeopleSoft or Sage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong focus on accounts payable processing, bookkeeping, or related functions.
• Proficiency in financial software including Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with compliance standards like SOX and GAAP is highly preferred.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail; experience with Excel spreadsheets and analysis is essential.
• Knowledge of accounts payable automation tools and invoice processing workflows enhances your candidacy.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $104.78 - $129.84 per hour
