Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

Join the finance team at Flybasis as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This full-time position is based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila, Philippines and is crucial in ensuring the company's financial operations run smoothly. As an accounts payable specialist you'll review supplier statements, assure accurate issuance of airline tickets and their related payables, and handle other general AP tasks.

What you'll be doing

• Process and record supplier invoices, bills, and payments accurately and on time
• Review supplier statements and supporting documents to ensure balances and transactions are accurate
• Verify payment details and supporting information before payments are submitted
• Prepare and queue supplier payments for processing
• Reconcile supplier accounts and investigate basic discrepancies or outstanding items
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP records and documentation
• Monitor payment and invoice queues to ensure transactions are completed within required timelines
• Prepare daily AP and payment reports and provide updates on outstanding items
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve payment, invoice, or account discrepancies
• Perform other routine Accounts Payable and administrative tasks as needed

What we're looking for

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in the travel or tourism industry
2. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting
3. Proficient in the use of accounting software and ERP systems
4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
5. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
7. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
