Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurately processing invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, and reconciling financial transactions. Working closely with the accounting team and internal departments, this role ensures vendor discrepancies are resolved promptly and payments are processed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Accurately code, enter, and process vendor invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner.
• Document Verification: Verify invoices against purchase orders, receipts, contracts, and supporting documentation (3-way matching).
• Vendor Management: Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and respond professionally to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account balances.
• Period-End Support: Assist the finance team with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Compliance & Controls: Maintain compliance with company policies, internal accounting controls, and established procedures.
• General Accounting: Perform additional accounting, administrative, and record-keeping duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of dedicated Accounts Payable experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with accounting software (Preferred NetSuite).
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Tax Knowledge: Working understanding of sales tax rules and 1099 reporting requirements.
• Core Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with high integrity.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
