Duties

• Process and verify a high volume of invoices using various financial software systems such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations, including general ledger accounts and vendor statements, utilizing Excel data analysis techniques like VLOOKUP functions and formulas.
• Manage accounts payable automation tools such as Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro to optimize payment workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls during all financial transactions.
• Handle data entry with precision into accounting systems like QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or ADP while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Prepare journal entries related to accounts payable activities and assist in month-end closing processes involving account reconciliation and general ledger adjustments.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining organized records of invoices, payments, and related documentation for internal and external audits.

Experience

• Proven accounting and finance experience with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, ideally within a corporate or public accounting setting.
• Hands-on experience working with financial software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial compliance standards is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to perform Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced spreadsheet functions for invoice processing and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting practices.
• Familiarity with accounts payable automation tools such as Paychex or UltiPro to enhance efficiency in invoice processing workflows.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including tax regulations, corporate accounting standards, and internal control procedures under SOX compliance.
• Excellent analysis skills for identifying discrepancies during account reconciliation and resolving issues promptly while handling confidential information discreetly.
