Accounts Payable Specialist

PRIMARY DUTIES:

General duties for the A/P specialist include the following activities:

1. Responsible for proper coding of G/L Accounts to invoices
2. Application of correct purchase order receipt to vendor invoices for timely and accurate payment
3. Scan all incoming mail into paperless database
4. Apply debit memos to vendor payments
5. Correspond with purchasing buyers and vendors for invoicing issues
6. Work vendor statements and ageing
7. Issue check payments for multiple sites for timely processing
8. Process and reconcile employee expense reports and credit card payments
9. Other duties or special projects as assigned

SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. 1-2 years Accounts Payable experience preferred
3. Good computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
4. Good communication skills, oral and written.
5. Good interpersonal skills.
6. Must be able to deal with multiple priorities
