Accounts Payable Specialist

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional responsible for managing part of Accounts Payable, including reviewing invoices and purchase requests, processing weekly payments, reconciling vendor statements, maintaining financial documentation, and assisting with audits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform full-cycle accounts payable processes - including invoice matching with purchases orders, coding, batching and data entry.
• Resolve purchase order, invoice or payment discrepancies.
• Review entries for accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and employees to resolve payment processing issues.
• Review monthly statements provided by vendors to ensure all invoices have been paid in a timely manner.
• Issue checks weekly and attach check stubs to purchase requests and attached backup paperwork.
• Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Highly prefer knowing some source of A/P system - We are using Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Excel experience required.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
• Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
• Able to work with medium-high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Extremely high attention to detail oriented.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
• Must be dependable and good analytical skills.
