Position Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis at their Rancho Dominguez location. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle Accounts Payable experience, advanced Excel skills, and a background in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics.

This role is ideal for someone who can manage high-volume AP transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure invoices and payments are processed efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice receipt, review, coding, entry, and payment processing.
• Match invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve outstanding invoice issues.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and account inquiries.
• Assist with tracking outstanding invoices and ensuring timely payments.
• Maintain accurate AP records and supporting documentation.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities as needed.
• Utilize Excel to analyze AP data, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing the full Accounts Payable cycle is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs , is essential.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and payment procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be comfortable working on-site in Rancho Dominguez, CA.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 1 - 2 years in accounting or related field
