Duties

Process and verify a high volume of vendor invoices using various financial software such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle, ensuring timely payments and adherence to company policies.

Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies related to accounts payable transactions, utilizing tools like Excel data analysis functions including VLOOKUP and formulas.

Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including journal entries, debits & credits, and invoice processing logs, while handling confidential information with utmost discretion.

Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements during all financial activities.

Assist in accounts payable automation initiatives by leveraging financial software such as Paychex, QuickBooks, or Sage to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounting, procurement, and HRIS systems like UltiPro or ADP to facilitate smooth financial operations.

Support month-end closing activities through account reconciliation and general ledger accounting tasks using accounting systems like PeopleSoft or Ceridian.

Bilingual a plus

Skills Strong understanding of accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.

Proficiency in financial software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, or Kronos; experience with accounts payable automation tools is a plus.

Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; familiarity with 10 key typing and spreadsheet management using Microsoft Office applications.

Analytical mindset with the ability to perform Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP and advanced spreadsheet functions for invoice processing and account reconciliation.

Knowledge of GAAP standards, SOX compliance protocols, and financial concepts related to accounts payable management.

Experience working within public accounting environments or corporate accounting departments is highly desirable.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
