Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities Include:

• Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate, timely payment of all legitimate obligations.
• Perform three-way matching of packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Verify invoices for quantity, unit price, extension, and discount.
• Route non-standard invoices for approval prior to payment.
• Determine appropriate general ledger coding for expenses.
• Analyze vendor statements and payables aging on a weekly basis.
• Issue vendor payments by check and wire.
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve invoice issues.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role
• Working knowledge of three-way matching, general ledger coding, and vendor reconciliation
• Experience issuing payments by check and wire
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
