Accounts Receivable Analyst

We are partnering with a growing organization to add an AR / Billing Analyst to its accounting team. This is a hands-on role supporting customer billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash flow, with a major focus on government and defense contract billing.

The right person has direct experience with progress billing , government-contract invoicing , and the documentation and systems that come with that environment.

What You’ll Do

• Own full-cycle AR and billing, including invoicing, cash application, collections, reconciliations, credit memos, and dispute resolution
• Prepare and submit invoices for government and defense contracts
• Manage progress, milestone, fixed-price, T&M, and/or cost-plus billing
• Resolve contract, billing, and payment discrepancies with internal stakeholders and customers
• Support AR close, aging review, reporting, and audit-ready documentation
• Partner with Accounting, Contracts, Operations, and Project teams to ensure accurate, timely billing

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of AR, contract billing, project billing, or accounting experience
• Direct experience with government contract or defense billing
• Experience with progress billing, milestone billing, or progress payments
• Familiarity with government-contract requirements such as FAR/DFARS, WAWF/iRAPT, IPP, or similar federal invoicing platforms
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills

Preferred

• Experience with Unanet, Costpoint, Epicor, or a comparable ERP
