Role Overview

The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a key role in supporting the financial health of the organization by ensuring accurate and timely billing, payment processing, account reconciliation, and collections activities. Working closely with Operations, Service, and Finance teams, the successful candidate will help maintain strong client accounts, and support cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process payments and record deposits.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and ensure payments are applied correctly.
• Review timesheets, job costs, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate billing.
• Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and billing-related inquiries.
• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Maintain accurate client account records and payment histories.
• Work closely with Operations and Service teams to ensure all completed work is properly documented and billed.
• Contribute to a collaborative and solutions-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, billing, bookkeeping, or a related accounting role.
• Experience using QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial information.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally follow-up with clients
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across operations, service and finance.
• Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Assets: Experience in service, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or project-based environments.
