Accounts Receivable

Carpet Call, Australia’s largest flooring retailer has been established for over 50 years and successfully runs a network of retail & franchise stores in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, along with a national builders’ division catering to some of the largest home builders in Australia.  We are currently looking for a passionate full time Accounts Receivable to join our dynamic team and be based in our office/warehouse complex in Balcatta. You will report directly to the State Accountant WA.  

What you'll be doing

• Accounts Receivable
• Credit Control - debt collections; trade account application etc.
• Cash & Banking - daily bank reconciliations; handle of cash & EFT payments; petty cash management
• Data entries & Document control
• Financial Reporting - Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports; accounts reconciliations
• Stock Take - be part of the team to preform monthly half day stock take at head office warehouse
• Building Relationship - Foster positive relationships with customers and other departments to facilitate a smooth payment process
• Other ac hoc tasks as requested

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounts receivable or similar accounting role, preferably within the building or customer service industry

• Strong communicator with ability to build relationships across the organisation

• Work with common sense; High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to priorities and work through multiple tasks

• Proactive and "can-do" attitude

• Willingness to learn & to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
