What they need

JOIN A LEADING HEALTHCARE COMPANY

You dream of a great career with a great company – where you can make an impact and help people. We dream of giving you the opportunity to do just this.

What helps set Curant Health apart?  FULLTIME POSITION, NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS, PAID HOLIDAYS, AND EMPLOYEE BENEFITS! Yes, that’s correct. We are not only committed to improving the lives of the patients we serve, but yours as well. Curant means CARE, and that is just what we do.

Our culture of caring is evident by being recognized as one of Inc.’s fastest growing healthcare companies, receiving the Georgia Fast 40 and Atlanta Business Chronicle Trendsetters awards every year since 2013. Our Medication Care Management® (MCM) programs and processes are proven to improve outcomes while reducing overall healthcare costs for our patients.

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is a core Accounts Receivable role responsible for managing routine billing activities with minimal supervision. This position supports pharmacy claims billing, account follow-up, collections activity, payment posting, reconciliation, issue resolution, reporting support, and payer or client account communication.

Responsibilities

With your passion to help patients and your drive to make an impact on those you touch, you will lead a business unit to drive operational results and deliver world class customer service. Your experience, positive attitude and your drive to deliver results will help navigate the excitement of a fast-growing company and all the fun and excitement that comes with it. We have listed a few of your responsibilities below:

  • Manage Routine Billing Activities: Submit, monitor, and manage pharmacy claims to third-party payers, including commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, in accordance with established AR procedures.
  • Conduct Account Follow-Up and Collections: Monitor aging reports and follow up on unpaid, underpaid, or partially paid claims and patient balances until payment, adjustment, or resolution is documented.
  • Research and Resolve Billing Issues: Investigate claim rejections, denials, payment discrepancies, and account balance concerns; correct billing errors and refile or escalate claims as needed.
  • Support Patient and Payer Communication: Communicate professionally with patients, payers, pharmacy staff, and internal departments to explain balances, verify information, and support timely account resolution.
  • Post Payments and Maintain Account Accuracy: Accurately post insurance and patient payments, update account records, and ensure payment activity is documented in the appropriate systems.
  • Assist with Reconciliations and Reporting: Assist with account reconciliations, payment research, AR reporting, and identification of discrepancies that may affect account accuracy or reimbursement.
  • Maintain Payer and Client Account Relationships: Coordinate with insurance providers, clients, and internal teams to clarify billing issues, support claim resolution, and maintain professional working relationships.
  • Maintain Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete documentation of billing activity, account follow-up, communications, and next steps while complying with HIPAA, payer requirements, company policies, and pharmacy regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of Accounts Receivable, billing, collections, payment posting, or related healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.
  • Pharmacy claims adjudication, payer follow-up, or pharmacy technician experience preferred.
  • Billing issue resolution and account documentation experience preferred.
