Position Overview:

FOCO is hiring an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead collections from major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target. This role is critical to maintaining healthy cash flow, ensuring timely collections, and supporting our financial infrastructure as we continue to scale. You will oversee a team of AR professionals and drive process improvements that align with FOCO’s growth and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable department, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
• Oversee the full AR cycle: invoicing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
• Manage high-volume receivables from large retail partners such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other national accounts, ensuring timely collections and accurate reconciliation.
• Monitor aging reports and proactively manage outstanding balances to minimize risk and improve DSO.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve billing issues and streamline workflows.
• Establish and enforce AR policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Prepare and present AR metrics and reports to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
• Credit and Collection: Responsible for overseeing all credit and collection activities including closely monitoring past due and open balance vs insurance coverage. To optimize cash flow, make all efforts to land with zero bad debt, all while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Customer Relationship Management: Negotiate with customers (retailers) to secure exemptions from chargebacks related to non-compliance policies, leveraging a deep understanding of retailer routing guides and compliance requirements.
• Directs and supervises the Accounts Receivable department, handling recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and performance evaluations.
• Manages all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including generating invoices, collecting payments, applying cash receipts, and resolving customer disputes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP or Business Central preferred).
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and implement process improvements.
• Experience managing receivables from large retailers or national accounts is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience in consumer products or wholesale distribution is a plus.
