Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Global Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist to join our Finance team in Bucharest. In this role, you will take ownership of a dedicated portfolio of strategic accounts—primarily in Israel (majority), as well as the US and Germany. While involved across the full Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle, your primary focus will be mastering and executing our monthly billing and invoice generation processes during close periods.

Because this role is centered on owning the invoice generation process rather than a broad book of accounts, the assigned portfolio will be smaller and more concentrated than a typical AR role, allowing deep focus on billing accuracy and efficiency. We are looking for a process-driven finance professional with advanced Excel expertise and a track record of automating workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and eliminating operational friction.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Own the generation and distribution of customer invoices during month-end close, ensuring absolute accuracy across complex, multi-region billing structures.
• Continuously analyze the O2C workflow to identify bottlenecks, reduce friction, streamline recurring billing operations, and implement automation solutions using advanced Excel and financial systems.
• Oversee a select portfolio of international accounts (primarily Israel, alongside the US and Germany) through every stage of the O2C lifecycle, including payment application, account reconciliation, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances and tenaciously follow up with customers on past due balances
• Build professional, trusted relationships with key client contacts (including Hebrew-speaking stakeholders) to facilitate smooth billing communication, proactively address discrepancies, and manage collections.
• Partner closely with Sales Operations, Legal, and Account Management to align billing setups with contract terms, optimize collections strategies, and prevent recurring account delays.
• Analyze at-risk customers and recommend account strategies to prevent delinquencies or engage key contacts to solve issues
• Research and resolve account disputes, billing discrepancies and credit holds with customers

Requirements

• 5+ years of extensive Accounts Receivable (including billing experience), preferably within a high-tech, SaaS, or multinational corporate environment
• Expert-level MS Excel skills (e.g., advanced formulas, data modeling, automated reporting templates, macros/VBA or similar efficiency tools).
• Proven track record of streamlining financial workflows, implementing automation, and eliminating operational bottlenecks.
• English at an advanced level (both spoken and written)
• Experience with Netsuite and Salesforce would be a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail, structured analytical thinking, and the ability to solve complex billing logic challenges independently.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with demonstrated success building relationships across global cultures and cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently in accordance with established policies and regulations
• First level university degree with a focus in finance, accounting or related fields
