Job Description The Accounts Receivable Specialist is an entry-level role supporting the finance and accounts receivable team. This position is responsible for invoicing across the company’s San Diego, South Carolina, Miami, and National markets, posting and reconciling payments, maintaining accurate account records, and providing data entry and database support to the finance department. It is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate to build a foundation in accounting within the restoration industry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices across the San Diego, South Carolina, Miami, and National markets
• Post and reconcile incoming payments to customer accounts
• Perform accurate, timely data entry and provide database (DB) support to the finance department
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date accounts receivable records and documentation
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and flag past-due accounts to the Collections team for follow-up
• Assist with reconciling accounts and identifying billing discrepancies
• Prepare regular AR reports and aging summaries
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding invoices and payments
• Collaborate with the Collections and job file teams to resolve invoicing issues
• Support month-end close and routine financial reporting as needed
• Assist the finance team with additional projects and administrative tasks as needed

Position Requirements

• Recent college graduate with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Internship or entry-level accounting or accounts receivable experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP/accounting system a plus
• Exposure to construction, restoration, field services, or insurance-claims billing a plus
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time-management skills
• Comfortable with high-volume, detail-oriented data entry
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work in person 5 days per week, with some flexibility in hours depending on business needs (e.g., month-end close)
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law

POSITION DETAILS

• Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)
• In-Person, Encino, CA
• Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Primarily office-based work in a climate-controlled environment
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents
• Repetitive motions, including keyboarding and use of a mouse
• Frequent talking and hearing for phone, virtual, and in-person communication
• Close visual acuity for reading documents and viewing computer screens
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and filing
• Occasional lifting and carrying of files or supplies up to 25 pounds
• Ability to open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a step stool as needed
