Position Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Position Type: Non-Exempt

Essential Job Functions

Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities

 Perform customer account reconciliations

 Research and resolve payment discrepancies

 Investigate and resolve customer queries

 Review A/R aging to ensure compliance

 Maintain accounts receivable customer notes, files and records

 Generate invoice aging analysis/reports

 Process adjustments, credits, and returns

 Generate and send out statements and invoices

 Carry out collection and reporting activities

Prepare and charge all credit card customers on a routine basis

• Follow up on expired cards

• Follow up with customers on discrepancies/disputed credit card charges

• Research and resolve credits and short-payments on customer accounts

Order Release

 Check financials/references

 Review customers for hold orders

 Monitor and release orders

 Request increase, decrease and credit holds on account

Other

 Understand the process and the work flow for buying groups

 Communicate with customers via phone, email, and/or mail

 Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Experience and Education

 3-5 plus years work experience with

 Accounts receivable/credit & collections

 Customer account reconciliation

 Order hold and release

 Proficient in Excel

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Attention to detail and accuracy

 Organizational and time management skills

 Customer service skills

 Analytical and problem solving skills

 Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
