Working closely with managers and partners, you will be responsible for supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors and helping to deliver a first-class service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting a varied portfolio of businesses across multiple industries, including niche and specialist sectors
• Building strong relationships with clients and maintaining regular contact
• Managing bookkeeping activities using cloud-based accounting systems
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and provide additional support to clients
• Producing management information and bespoke financial reports
• Preparing statutory accounts and associated working papers
• Calculating corporation tax liabilities and preparing related submissions
• Acting as a trusted day-to-day liaison for client queries
• Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members
• Contributing to improvements in internal processes, systems and technology

About You

We're interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

• Experience working within an accountancy practice environment
• A solid background in preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT returns
• Familiarity with cloud accounting software packages
• Excellent organisational skills and a high level of accuracy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A positive, solutions-focused approach to client service
• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified, studying towards qualification, or qualified through practical experience

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
