Accounts Senior

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join our growing corporate accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing year-end accounts, VAT returns and Corporation Tax returns. The ideal applicant will possess strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude, as well as being comfortable working with minimal supervision and having the initiative to propose solutions before being asked. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS105 and FRS102 section 1A, along with corporation tax returns for the accounting period.
• Assist with the preparation of client's VAT returns in a timely manner.
• Prepare management accounts using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting and tax regulations, including completion of relevant CPD in line with your professional qualification.

Qualifications & experience

• Minimum of AAT qualified or equivalent, with at least 5 years experience in the accounting sector.
• Proven experience as an Accounts Senior or similar role within an accounting practice
• Experience with partial exemption VAT returns is desirable
• Experience using Xero is essential. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or equivalent programmes is desirable.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members

Pay: £21,600.00-£28,800.00 per year
