Accounts Trainee

Role Overview This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual starting their career in accountancy to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment. Working alongside experienced accounting and audit professionals, you will assist in delivering efficient and accurate accounting services to a varied portfolio of clients across different industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of client financial statements including:
• Detail client information on to in-house accounting system using both manual and computerised data
• Prepare working papers to support financial statements
• Prepare fixed asset register
• Prepare summary of debtors, creditors pre-payments and accruals
• Prepare VAT reconciliations
• Post accounts to the system
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Post financial information onto the in house accounting software
• Prepare both draft income tax computations and corporation tax computations
• Prepare draft company corporation tax return computations
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts
• General administrative duties

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• School leaver with 120 UCAS Points or Graduate with a relevant degree
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Ability to work as part of a team, yet also work using own initiative when required
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good computer skills
• Good organisational and administrative skills

This is an office-based role, full time 38.75 hours per week.
