What they need

The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) is the national medical society representing emergency medicine. Through continuing education, research, public education, and advocacy, ACEP advances emergency care on behalf of its 41,000 emergency physician members, and the more than 150 million Americans they treat on an annual basis.

Located in Irving, Texas, we offer paid insurance plans (medical, dental, and vision), retirement, flextime, and more. This role is not open to fully remote applicants; only candidates local to Washington, DC, will be considered. A hybrid schedule of both in-office work and work-from-home hours is available.

The Manager, Accreditation Operations role is responsible for the accreditation application lifecycle across ACEP’s six accreditation and recognition programs. The position is supervisory—this role will be overseeing two Accreditation Program Specialists.

This role’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to) maintaining consistent processes across programs; leading ongoing quality improvement and workflow enhancements; serving as administrator of the accreditation application platform; collaborating with Finance on application fees; supporting collaborating organizations to ensure success and improvement of ACEP programs; and overseeing key application workflows such as application reviews, site visits, and accreditation decisions.

Our ideal candidate has…

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, project management, information systems, public health, healthcare, or related fields. Equivalent work experience will be considered in place of a formal degree.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with project management or program operations.
  • Prior experience with workflow or database systems, including configuration and data integrity.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with web content management systems, Microsoft products, and databases.
  • Ability to travel as required; approx. 1 – 2 times per year for 2 – 4 days at a time.

Other desired qualifications include prior experience with accreditation programs, system implementation/migration, technology platform management, membership databases, and PMP or Quality Improvement certifications.

Please visit ACEP’s career page for a full job description.

We are an E-Verify and equal opportunity employer who prizes diversity and inclusion. We offer a tobacco-free environment.
