Accredited Exercise Phyiologist

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Exercise Physiologist to work in a private clinic in Heidelberg. Initially, the role is on a subcontracted or Part-Tome basis and must include Saturday work.

Job Summary

• Exercise prescription for a variety of chronic disease, injuries and disabilities.
• Conducting clinical assessments
• Lead group classes
• Working closely with local community organisations and programs
• Clinical Reporting and admin duties
• Hospital , aged care, or home visits within local area if it arises.

Requirements

Essential

• Proven ability to work within a multicultural environment
• Full ESSA Exercise Physiologist membership and accreditation
• Recent Police Check
• First Aid & CPR
• Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Demonstrated effective communication skills needed to speak to our patients and also medical professionals in the area.
• Ability to work independently
• Availability to work Saturday mornings (4 hours)

Preferred

• Knowledge of the Exercise Physiologist role in Chronic Disease Management (Medicare), Department of Veterans’ Affair, Workcover, TAC & NDIS
• Experience using HealthKit software
• Pilates or Clinical Pilates experience (Not required but highly desirable)
