Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs, providing detailed product demos when necessary.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling retail sales transactions with accuracy and confidence using POS systems.
• Stock shelves and organize displays to ensure the store remains attractive, accessible, and well-merchandised.
• Upsell complementary products by understanding customer needs and promoting relevant items to maximize sales opportunities.
• Conduct product demos to educate customers on features and benefits, enhancing their shopping experience.
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments.
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellent customer service.

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer bases.
• Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers accurately.
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with upselling techniques and conducting product demos to enhance sales performance.
• Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and vendors.
• Previous grocery store or retail sales experience is advantageous for understanding fast-paced environments.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
