Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Acquisition Manager directs the Acquisition & Asset Management Team to ensure we acquire all assets (hardware and software) and complete required deliverables to support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide (50K hardware systems).

Responsibilities:

• You will provide acquisition support services for IT-related goods and services, including conducting market research, evaluating alternatives, and preparing procurement packages for submission to DoS’s current Acquisition Office.
• The acquisition support shall be conducted using a Government-unique method for evaluating alternatives and preparing procurement packages, which includes managing unique configurations with providers and adhering to proprietary purchasing constraints.
• You will be required to prepare and maintain all required documentation for completed procurements, including copies of all purchase orders, purchase requests, subcontracts, professional services agreements, and maintenance and license agreements.
• The Acquisition Manager shall ensure that proof of entitlements, warranties, and related artifacts are registered in customer’s name and maintained in accordance with contractual agreements.
• You will be required to develop detailed specifications, statements of work, and justification documentation and preparing cost estimates to support Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Additionally, you will prepare procurement packages for customer review and approval and track the status of procurement packages with the customer and DoS acquisition managers.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

• 12+ years
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• Top Secret Security Clearance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:
