Activities Aide

Havencrest Rehabilitation and Healthcare located in Monongahela PA, is currently seeking an Activity Aide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs.
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
• Transport and escort residents safely to and from activities.
• Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and rooms in an organized and clean manner.
• Document resident attendance and participation in activities as required.
• Assist with special events, holiday programs, and outings.
• Provide companionship and support to residents who may not participate in group activities.
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition or behavior to the Activities Director or nursing staff.
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in activities, recreation, or working with the elderly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to assist with resident transfers and mobility during activities.

Employment Type

• Full-time or Part-time; schedule based on facility needs.
