We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at Northridge Rehabilitation & Care Center in North Ridgeville, OH. As an integral part of our care team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, independence, and overall well-being.

Job Summary:

The Activities Assistant will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational activities for our residents, including social events, entertainment, and exercise programs. This is a part-time position, ideal for individuals with a passion for working with seniors and a desire to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and coordination of activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outings
• Lead and facilitate activities, ensuring resident participation and engagement
• Monitor and report on resident preferences and activity participation to identify trends and make recommendations for future activities
• Collaborate with other care team members to develop and implement activity programs that align with resident needs and interests
• Maintain accurate records of activity attendance, participation, and feedback
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for all activities and events

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a healthcare or social services setting preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
