Activities Assistant

The Village at Penn State, located in State College, PA, is one of the area’s premiere senior living communities and is currently hiring for a Part Time, Benefit Eligible Activities Aide position.

Schedule Details

• Part Time, Benefit Eligible
• 9:00am-5:30pm shift
• Works every weekend
• 64 hours per pay

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists staff with planning and carrying out resident activities, trips and events, as planned.
• Would be working in the community life department for the Atrium skilled health center, to encourage and assist residents with meaningful events to help fill their leisure time, including daily opportunities for developing friendships, personal growth, and continuing w/ lifelong learning.
• Offer expertise and guidance to all staff to grow in the field of community life, helping improve the quality of life for all residents

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in social or recreational programming with senior citizens or in a health care setting preferred.
• Eligible for Helping Hands certification.
