What You'll Do The Activities Assistant will support the planning and execution of the Activities Program to enhance the well-being and engagement of residents, following federal, state, and local guidelines.. Responsibilities include:

• Assist in creating and implementing activities
• Encourage resident participation in hobbies, crafts, and events
• Help develop care plans and assessments
• Involve residents and families in activity planning
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and supplies
• Attend meetings, training, and in-service sessions
• Assist with transportation and supervise activities
• Collaborate with medical staff and external providers
• Promote a positive, warm, and respectful environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, patience, and flexibility
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Emotionally and mentally capable of handling stress
• Able to relate to residents of varying cognitive levels
