We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and creative Activities Assistant to join our team. The Activities Assistant plays an important role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by helping plan, organize, and implement recreational, social, and therapeutic activities.

Position:

Activities Assistant (Full-Time) 10:am- 5:00pm Includes Weekends and Holidays

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and conducting daily activity programs.
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
• Help organize special events, holiday celebrations and entertainment.
• Help to Maintain activity calendars, bulletin boards, and resident participation records.
• Assist residents with crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events.
• Foster a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment for all residents.
• Work closely with the Activities Director and interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, senior living, or customer service preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and assist residents as needed.

• Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, geriatrics.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities when needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
