Activities Assistant (Evening and Weekend Shift)

Job Summary: Southern Hills Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Assistant to join our evening and weekend shift team. As a key member of our activities department, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents, including recreational, educational, and social programs
• Lead groups and individual activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement innovative activity programs that promote resident engagement, socialization, and overall well-being
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activity schedules, and supply inventory
• Support the activities director in coordinating special events, outings, and celebrations
• Participate in care conferences and contribute to the development of individualized care plans

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or social services setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to lift, move, and transport equipment and supplies (up to 25 pounds)
