Activities Co-ordinator

We are looking to employ a part-time permanent Activities Co-ordinator for 12 hours per week, to be spread across 3 days. Ideally you will possess some experience working with elderly people who have dementia.

Some of the key qualities required for this position include:

Be kind, patient and respectful at all times. Be well organised, creative, resourceful and proactive. Be a good listener with a cheerful disposition.

The main duties of this position include:

Being able to assess the needs of our residents individually and provide a tailored activity programme, that matches their personal interests and ability level.

Be able to organise and provide group activities which promotes socialisation and improves wellbeing, as well as being capable of providing activities on a one to one basis for individuals who are unable to join in on group activity sessions.

Proactively organise fund raising events during the year such as coffee mornings, summer fetes, Christmas raffles etc.

This position is challenging but also very rewarding. Pay is negotiable and dependent on experience.
