Activities Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a fun, compassionate, and reliable activities coordinator to provide support and stimulation to residents in a care home setting.

The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality activities, ensuring residents' safety, and maintaining an active environment. This role is essential in supporting residents' well-being and ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. liasion with outside providers and entertainer is a vital part of this role.

Duties

• Ensuring residents have positive activity within the home, based around the rsidents lived experiences and choices
• Monitor residents’ conditions ensuring their safety and comfort
• Respond promptly to emergencies, providing appropriate assistance
• Communicate effectively with team members and family members regarding residents’ wellbeing
• Occasionally assist with light domestic duties such as tidying communal areas when appropriate

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
• Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting residents outside the care home if needed
• Strong organisational skills
• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
