Activities Coordinator – Assisted Living

Job Summary

Join our team as an Activities Coordinator and make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults of all ages residing in our assisted living community!

We are seeking a creative, compassionate, and energetic individual who enjoys bringing people together and creating engaging experiences. In this role, you will plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational, social, and enrichment activities tailored to residents’ individual interests, abilities, and needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement engaging daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs for adult residents of all ages.
• Organize recreational activities, games, crafts, music, celebrations, outings, and special events.
• Adapt activities to accommodate residents with different physical, cognitive, and developmental abilities.
• Encourage social interaction, community involvement, and meaningful relationships among residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents by learning their individual interests, preferences, and needs.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are appropriate for residents’ abilities, care needs, and personal goals.
• Maintain an organized activity calendar and communicate upcoming events to residents and staff.
• Document activity participation and maintain appropriate records as required by the facility.
• Encourage residents to participate while respecting their individual choices and independence.
• Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere that promotes physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in activity coordination, event planning, assisted living, caregiving, or a related field preferred.
• Understanding of the diverse needs of adults living in an assisted living environment.
• Ability to engage residents of different ages, backgrounds, interests, and abilities.
• Creative, enthusiastic, and capable of developing activities that are both enjoyable and meaningful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, families, and staff.
• Patience, compassion, and respect for individuals with varying levels of independence and support needs.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other team members.
• Basic computer skills for scheduling, documentation, and activity planning.
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for improving residents’ quality of life.

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
