Activities Director | Full-Time | Day Shift

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and compassionate Activities Director to lead our resident enrichment programming in a warm, supportive, family-like environment.

Required Qualifications Applicants must meet at least one of the following qualifications:

• Be a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
• Have successfully completed a State-approved Activity Director training course.
• Be licensed or registered as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities Professional, or be eligible for certification through a recognized accrediting body.
• Have at least two (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, including one (1) year of full-time experience in a therapeutic activities program.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) activities experience required.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Activity Director Certified (ADC) credential preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with patience, compassion, tact, and professionalism when working with residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a diverse, engaging activities program that meets the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs of residents.
• Conduct resident assessments to identify individual interests, hobbies, abilities, and preferences, creating personalized activity plans.
• Supervise, mentor, and support activities staff and volunteers while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department.
• Maintain accurate documentation, manage departmental resources, and ensure compliance with all facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance residents' quality of life.
