Activities Support Worker

As part of the Activities team, the activities support worker will assist the Activity Co-ordinator to enable our very frail clients to engage in meaningful activity.

The successful applicant will have experience of working within a health care setting and ideally have achieved a minimum of NVQ2 in health and social care.

They will be fit and able to participate in assisting the care team with any moving and handling or nutritional needs associated with enabling people to participate in activities.

They will have excellent communication skills, be confident to deliver small, short group sessions as well as work with people on an individual basis. They may have skills such as singing, playing a musical instrument and crafts.

Experience of caring for people who live with dementia will be an advantage but full training will be given.

The position is full time - 30 hours over 4 days to include alternate weekends.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
