Activity Aide

Gardens of North Olmstead is seeking a full-time Activity Assistant/Coordinator for the memory care unit to join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen careers. The A****ctivity Assistant/Coordinator will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.

Responsibilities of Activity Assistant/Coordinator:

• Develops, maintains, and coordinates a monthly program of events and programs
• Establishes and maintains on-going contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations, and other useful resources for program development.
• Recruits plan and manage volunteer opportunities for the community
• Manages, trains, and develops staff and volunteers
• Makes marketing presentations for community outreach efforts
• Works with marketing to assist in the planning of community/resident events
• Coordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyle
• One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs
• Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and the public

Qualifications of Activity Assistant/Coordinator:

• At least two years of related experience
• A college degree strongly preferred.
