Activity & Wellbeing Coordinator

The Avenue Nursing Home is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team. This rewarding role involves planning and delivering engaging activities, events, outings, and fundraising initiatives that enhance the lives of our residents and promote social engagement, independence, and wellbeing.

You will organise a varied programme of activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including crafts, gardening, entertainment, community events, and themed celebrations. Working closely with residents, families, the care team, and local community groups, you will encourage meaningful participation and ensure residents remain connected to the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly activity programmes.
• Organise events, outings, entertainment, and fundraising activities.
• Support the "Resident of the Day" programme.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing.
• Build links with local community groups and organisations.
• Maintain activity records and ensure appropriate resources are available.
• Assist with special events, including coffee mornings, fêtes, and seasonal celebrations.

Essential Requirements

· Minimum 1 year's experience in an activities or wellbeing role.

· Passionate about improving the lives of older people.

· Creative, organised, and able to generate new ideas.

· Excellent spoken and written English.

· Friendly, bubbly, and enthusiastic personality.

· Able to work independently and as part of a team.

· Flexible to work 5 days over 7, including every other Sunday.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.67 per hour
