About the Role: As an Activity Assistant , you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating and leading group activities, such as exercise classes, crafts, and games
• Developing and implementing programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents
• Assisting with special events and celebrations, including birthday parties, holiday events, and social gatherings
• Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care and services
• Maintaining accurate records of activities and participation levels
• Communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., recreation therapy, gerontology) a plus
• Previous experience in a senior care or community-based organization preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service and resident satisfaction
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and participate in physical activities as needed
