Activity Assistants

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team full-time. In this role, you will bring joy, engagement, and purpose to our residents, of all levels of cognition and physical mobility.

Schedule & Hours

o Status: Full-Time & PRN

o Standard Shifts: Four days a week, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

o Evening Shift: One day a week, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

o Every other weekend is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

o Lead Resident Activities: Plan, set up, and host engaging individual and group

activities.

o Support Various Levels of Resident Ability: Adapt programming to meet the

unique cognitive, emotional, and social needs of our residents.

o Assist with Dining Services: Support residents during meal times by passing

food trays, serving food, and creating a welcoming, social atmosphere in the

dining room.

o Encourage Participation: Safely escort and invite residents to scheduled events,

ensuring everyone feels included.

o Document Engagement: Keep accurate logs of resident participation and

response to daily activities.

Qualifications & Skills

o Must be 18 years or older

o Experience: Prior experience working in therapeutic activities in a skilled nursing

facility preferred.

o Personality: High energy, patient, empathetic, and naturally creative.

o Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to connect deeply with residents,

families, and team members.

o Physical Ability: Able to stand, walk, and assist with serving trays and wheeling

residents and moving light equipment throughout the day.

o Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality are vital to our daily

programming.
