Activity Support Worker

We’re looking for a fantastic Activity Support Worker to join our friendly team and help create and deliver a programme of activities that is personalised, engaging and fun!

At Dove Lodge, every resident is an individual, with their own stories, interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes. Your role will be to get to know our residents, discover what makes them smile, and help them enjoy activities and experiences that reflect who they are and what matters to them.

What will you be doing?

Every day can be different! You’ll:

• Get to know our residents and discover their interests, hobbies and wishes to build a picture of what makes each person unique.
• Come up with creative and engaging activities, from group events and games to one-to-one time or community outings in our Automatic 'Dove Bug'.
• Encourage residents to remain as independent as possible, providing the right support when needed.
• Work with external organisations and community resources to bring new experiences and opportunities to Dove Lodge.
• Keep records of activities, participation and the positive outcomes they create.
• Promote our activity programme and encourage residents, relatives and staff to get involved.

In short, you’ll help turn ordinary days into memorable ones!

Do I need experience?

Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. What matters most to us is that you’re caring, enthusiastic, organised and full of ideas. We’ll provide ongoing training and support to help you thrive in your role.
