💰 Salary up to £87,000 + Bonus + Exceptional Benefits

I'm working with a prestigious global specialty insurer and reinsurer looking to appoint a Reserving Analyst to join its growing actuarial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified actuary looking to gain broader exposure across both insurance and reinsurance, working closely with experienced actuaries, underwriters and senior stakeholders across London, Ireland and Bermuda.

The Opportunity

You'll join a collaborative reserving team, gaining exposure to a diverse range of specialty lines, including innovative products, while contributing to both business-as-usual reserving and exciting transformation projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Support quarterly reserving, including assumptions, reserve calculations and reporting.
• Contribute to natural catastrophe and large loss analysis.
• Undertake reserve variability analysis and assumption setting.
• Prepare reserving reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Support improvements to reserving processes, data structures and reporting.
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, pricing and catastrophe modelling teams.
• Help develop analytical dashboards and enhance reporting capabilities.

What we're looking for:

• Part-qualified actuary (IFoA or equivalent).
• Reserving experience within the London Market or Bermuda insurance/reinsurance market.
• Understanding of reserving methodologies, development patterns, IELRs and AvE analysis.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical findings.
• Experience with SQL, VBA, ResQ or Power BI would be advantageous but isn't essential.
