Acumatica Functional Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Acumatica Functional Consultant to drive end-to-end cloud ERP implementations, optimizations, and business process enhancements for our client. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business operations and system capabilities by analyzing requirements, designing workflows, and configuring Acumatica modules to match complex client operations. You will collaborate directly with executive stakeholders, department heads, and technical developers to ensure successful system adoption, seamless data migration, and long-term ROI.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead Implementations & Discovery: Conduct discovery workshops, document business requirements, perform gap analyses, and map complex business processes to native Acumatica ERP functionality.
• Configure Modules: Hands-on setup and configuration of Acumatica modules (Financials, Distribution, Manufacturing, Construction, or Field Service) to align with client operational workflows.
• Build Intelligence & Reports: Design custom Generic Inquiries (GIs), financial reports via ARM, analytical dashboards, and automated Business Events/Approval Workflows.
• Manage Data & Testing: Lead data migration activities (Import/Export Scenarios, data cleansing), orchestrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and troubleshoot functional bugs or process gaps.
• User Training & Enablement: Deliver tailored end-user training, build standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation, and provide go-live support to drive high user adoption.
• Technical Collaboration: Partner with C#/.NET developers to define functional specifications for complex custom extensions, integrations, and third-party middleware.

What You’ll Need

• Proven Track Record: 5+ years of hands-on ERP functional consulting experience, with a proven focus on Acumatica Cloud ERP full-cycle implementations.
• Core Module Mastery: Expertise in core Acumatica modules, particularly Financials (GL, AP, AR) and Distribution (Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Inventory Management).
• Reporting Tools Proficiency: Demonstrated skill building Generic Inquiries (GIs), Acumatica Report Designer templates, Analytical Report Manager (ARM) financial statements, and Import/Export Scenarios.
• Methodology & Project Leadership: Deep understanding of ERP implementation lifecycles, structured project management, and business process re-engineering.
• Client-Facing Communication: Exceptional communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business users.

What Will Set You Apart

• Acumatica Certifications: Active Acumatica Certified Business Consultant or specialized module certifications (Financials, Distribution, Manufacturing, or Construction Specialist).
• Vertical Industry Expertise: Deep domain expertise in Manufacturing, Construction, Commerce/E-Commerce, or Field Service verticals.
• Partner / VAR Background: Previous experience working within an Acumatica VAR (Value Added Reseller) or ERP consulting practice managing multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Integration & Analytics Knowledge: Familiarity with connecting Acumatica to Power BI, e-commerce platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce), or middleware solutions (Celigo, Boomi).
