Adaptive Skills Training Specialist (Service Code 605)

Adaptive Skills Training & Life Autonomy (ASTLA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit launching Adaptive Skills Training across Kern County. Our promise is simple: no waitlists. When a family needs us, we staff up — we don't make them wait. We are hiring Specialists for the Lake Isabella / Kernville / Kern River Valley area. What you'll do: - Provide 1:1 adaptive skills training in consumers' homes and communities - Implement individualized service plans and document progress - Support community integration, social and life skills, functional academics, and domestic skills - Assist with intakes and assessments alongside the Professional team What you bring: - Bachelor's degree in a related field required - Experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred - Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance - Ability to pass a DOJ background check (Live Scan) What we offer: - Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) after a 90-day waiting period - 403(b) retirement plan with employer match - Paid sick leave per California law - Workers' compensation coverage - Mileage reimbursement at the IRS standard rate - On-the-job training and a supportive supervisory team
