About the Job

As a specialist in electronics and software for the past 20 years, in-tech is a dynamic, fast growing engineering company headquartered in Munich, Germany employing around 2350 employees globally across 20 project locations in 8 countries.

in-tech develops innovative engineering solutions for the automotive, rail, aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors.

We are committed to a flexible, modern work culture and work-life balance. Our colour orange stands for liveliness, warmth, and dynamism. We value a strong team spirit, fresh ideas and a positive work culture. We call it the “Orange Spirit”!

Since 2024, in-tech became a subsidiary of Infosys Ltd. This strategic partnership enables us to offer our customers even more comprehensive development and digitalisation services and a greater offshore capability.

We are seeking a skilled SWQA Triage Engineer to join our Automotive QA team, focusing on triaging in-car logs and ensuring the quality of autonomous vehicle software. The role involves debugging real-time systems, analysing large datasets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve the performance and reliability of self-driving car software and hardware. Strong knowledge of ADAS, Python scripting, and experience with HIL/SIL simulations are essential. If you are passionate about application support, enjoy working in dynamic environments, and want to contribute to a culture of operational excellence, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  1. B.Tech or equivalent degree in CS, CE, Robotics, ECE, or EEE.
  2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on testing and debugging experience in autonomous systems or computer vision projects.
  3. Strong understanding of perception systems (computer vision, sensor fusion).
  4. Knowledge of planning and control pipelines in autonomous vehicles.
  5. Proficient in Python scripting with ability to write logical scripts from scratch.
  6. Experience with Linux and/or QNX operating systems; embedded OS knowledge is a plus.
  7. Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262), especially in autonomous systems.
  8. Experience in ADAS verification and validation using Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-Loop (SIL) simulation setups.
  9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  11. Passion for new technologies and trends in autonomous driving.
  12. Experience with large-scale data analysis and debugging real-time systems is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate and resolve issues across the autonomous vehicle software stack (perception, planning, control).
  2. Debug failures in real-time systems involving sensors, compute platforms, and AI models.
  3. Analyze large-scale datasets (sensor logs, simulation outputs) to identify patterns and failure trends.
  4. Measure and improve performance of software components and deep neural network algorithms.
  5. Participate in reviews of product requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
  6. Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and provide continuous feedback to improve system robustness.
  7. Develop debugging tools, scripts, and dashboards to automate log analysis and anomaly detection.
  8. Enhance system observability through metrics, tracing, and monitoring improvements.
  9. Collaborate with development leads and architects to address software quality issues.
  10. Support ADAS verification and validation using HIL and SIL simulation setups.
  11. Maintain and improve the quality of complex heterogeneous computing systems in autonomous vehicles.
  12. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high standards of software and hardware quality.
