Duties

• Deliver high-quality instruction through online platforms such as Blackboard and Learning Management Systems (LMS), incorporating best practices in adult learning and higher education pedagogy.
• Develop and update curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with course objectives and industry standards.
• Facilitate engaging classroom experiences using hybrid teaching methods that combine face-to-face and online instruction to maximize student learning outcomes.
• Mentor students academically and professionally, providing guidance on coursework, research projects, and career development.
• Collaborate with faculty colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects, curriculum enhancements, and program development initiatives.
• Support student success through academic advising, timely feedback, and fostering an inclusive learning environment that respects cultural diversity.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to instructional design, learning technology, and higher education trends to continually enhance teaching effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in college or university teaching, including classroom management and lesson planning within higher education settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and course design for online or hybrid formats.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas or comparable platforms; experience with learning technology tools is highly desirable.
• Strong research background with a record of publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals; experience securing research funding is a plus.
• Knowledge of adult education principles, higher education pedagogy instruction, and working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty colleagues on interdisciplinary research initiatives and curriculum projects.
• Excellent communication skills for mentoring students, academic advising, and participating in faculty meetings or committees.
• Prior college faculty experience is preferred; familiarity with academic research settings enhances suitability for this role.
