Job Description

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Augustana University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in mathematics. The department is seeking qualified instructors who can teach Calculus I for the Spring 2027 semester.

Required Qualifications

• A master's degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, mathematics education, data science, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate mathematics courses (Calculus 1) effectively.
• Experience developing and assessing undergraduate student learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Adjunct faculty responsibilities may include:

• Teaching assigned undergraduate mathematics course.
• Preparing and delivering course materials in accordance with departmental and university expectations.
• Assessing student learning through assignments, examinations, projects, and other appropriate methods.
• Maintaining regular office hours or availability for student consultation.
