Job Summary/Basic Function

Part-time adjunct instructor of Social Work. To teach one or two lower division courses per semester as needed.

**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.

Two years post-MSW practice experience (paid); eligibility for a clinical social work license (LCSW) in the state of Utah; evidence of potential for teaching excellence in a variety of subject areas.

The position involves teaching responsibilities within a generalist social work practice framework addressing the following subjects: introductory generalist practice; social welfare policy; social work methods, values and ethics; and advanced social work practice methods at the macro level (i.e., community organizations).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in a classroom in a CSWE-accredited social work department; a commitment to excellence in social work practice and education; an interest in creative program development; the ability to work in a collegial manner with social work faculty members, faculty from other disciplines across compus, and social work professionals in the broader community.
