About the role

Advance Micro Surface Finishing Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admin & Account professional to join our team in Simpang Ampat, Penang.

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organisation. You will be responsible for managing accounting functions, administrative tasks, and financial records that directly support the smooth running of our business.

This role is integral to ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting across all financial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers in compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice tracking and payment processing
• Assist with payroll administration and employee expense reimbursements
• Handle general administrative duties including filing, data entry, and document management
• Liaise with internal departments and external parties regarding financial and administrative matters
• Support audit activities and provide necessary documentation as required
• Monitor and reconcile subsidiary accounts and general ledger balances

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk, or similar accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software SQL and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail with the ability to work with financial data accurately
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial processes
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
• Reliability and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting regulations and tax requirements is advantageous
• Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms is preferred
